Background Story Of Roman Reigns

 


Roman Reigns, whose real name is Leati Joseph Anoa’i, was born on May 25, 1985, in Pensacola, Florida. He comes from a long line of professional wrestlers and is a member of the legendary Anoa’i family, which includes his father Sika Anoa’i and his uncle Afa Anoa’i, who were both former WWE wrestlers.

Reigns played football in college and was signed to the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2007. However, his professional football career was short-lived, and he soon turned his attention to wrestling.

Reigns began his wrestling career in 2010, working for Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) under the ring name Leakee. In 2012, he was signed to WWE’s developmental territory, NXT, where he continued to hone his skills.

In 2012, Reigns made his main roster debut as a member of The Shield, a stable that also included Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose. The trio quickly became one of the most dominant factions in WWE history, with Reigns serving as the muscle of the group.

After The Shield disbanded in 2014, Reigns began his singles career and quickly rose to the top of the WWE ranks. He has won numerous championships, including the WWE Championship and the Universal Championship, and is widely regarded as one of the best wrestlers of his generation.

Reigns has also had to overcome personal struggles, including a battle with leukemia that forced him to take time off from wrestling in 2018. He returned to the ring in 2019 and has since been on a dominant run as the “Tribal Chief” of WWE’s SmackDown brand.
