PART 2
MEMORY VERSE
Matthew 24:44 KJV
[44]Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
BIBLE MEDITATION
Romans 13:11-14 KJV
[11]And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
[12]The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
[13]Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
[14]But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
MESSAGE
As believers, we are called to be vigilant and ready for the second coming of Christ. We are also given assignments to fulfill before His return. These assignments are crucial to our growth, and they prepare us for the day when we will be face to face with our Lord. In today's discussion, we will list and explain five types of assignments that were committed to believers before the end comes.
1. Evangelism: The assignment of evangelism is given to every believer. We are called to share the good news of the gospel with others. In Mark 16:15, Jesus said, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation."
2. Discipleship: The assignment of discipleship is to make disciples of all nations. We are called to teach others about Christ and to help them grow in their relationship with Him. In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus said, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."
3. Prayer: The assignment of prayer is to pray without ceasing. We are called to pray for one another, for our leaders, and for the lost. In 1 Thessalonians 5:17, Paul said, "pray continually."
4. Giving: The assignment of giving is to give generously and cheerfully. We are called to give our time, talents, and resources to advance the kingdom of God. In 2 Corinthians 9:7, Paul said, "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."
5. Holiness: The assignment of holiness is to be holy as God is holy. We are called to live a life that is pleasing to God and that reflects His character. In 1 Peter 1:15-16, Peter said, "But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: 'Be holy, because I am holy.'"
In conclusion, these assignments are not optional, but they are essential for our growth and preparation for the second coming of Christ. Let us be faithful in fulfilling these assignments, so that we may hear our Lord say, "Well done, good and faithful servant.
